- As the world is constantly undergoing changes, so is the work place. This course is meant to shed lights on the current development in certain areas, and the challenges they pose, for example: · Company structure · Customer service · Finance · Marketing · Job satisfaction and leadership · (Intercultural) Communication Very often, the aforementioned topics will be discussed in an international, intercultural context. In addition, skills such as presentation, meeting and negotiation are integral parts of this course.
Upon successful completion of this course, students will have a better picture of the knowledge and language skills required at the work place. In addition, since this is first and foremost an English language class, they will master the relevant vocabulary, the grammar and formal standards to speak and write clearly.
· All four skills reading, writing, speaking and listening will be trained · Lessons are taught with the help of texts, videos, and task oriented classroom activities · Active participation is a must · In accordance with UNIcert regulations, regular attendance is mandatory (80%) · Grades are based on homework, in-class assignments and a final exam
