UNIcert®

General Information

  • UNIcert® is an international system of certification for various languages studied in a university context
  • Students participating in the programme also learn about the culture surrounding the target language, and thus acquire both language skills and intercultural competences that are beneficial to their studies, internships, and future career.
  • The UNIcert® levels are in line with the levels laid down in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages of the European Council
  • Students who have completed the programme are better prepared for a successful internship or study abroad.
  • The certificate enhances the mobility and competitiveness of candidates in today’s globalised job market.

  • Students can take UNIcert® courses as electives (see electives courses sign up) or audit them (optional general electives, in this case, sign up directly with the teacher on the first day of class). Students can sign up online for examinations – please refer to "sign up period").
  • In order to maintain consistency and unity of UNIcert® classes, you can only add or drop these classes within the two weeks after classes have begun (an exception can be granted for the third week if a legitimate reason is given).
  • Students from certain departments are not allowed to take certain UNIcert® courses. For further information, please see this link.
